Things Aren’t Always What They Seem — 4 Comments

  1. Thank you, Ava, for your insightful post. It reminded me of the Scripture verse in I Samuel 16:7: “Man looks at the outward appearance, but the LORD looks at the heart.”

    Blessings,

    MaryAnn

  2. We get a little more winter here in SC but nothing compared to what I experienced in Indiana growing up. How do teachers decorate for fall in Florida? I’ve heard teachers chuckle her in SC about the back-to-school posters with fall leaves all over them while kids are still coming to school wearing shorts.

I like your inner person/outer person comparisons. It is so easy to misjudge.

  3. Ava, don’t forget the red leaves and berries on the dogwood tree, the golden Raintree blossoms, and, of course, the goldenrod:) all attesting to a FL Fall.

More importantly, your post fits beautifully with the theme God seems to have going today on the Christian Poets & Writers blog – http://www.christianpoetsandwriters.com – about accepting one another in the spirit and Body of Christ, so I’ll highlight this with my thanks, blessings, and prayers that we Christians give each other less flak and more slack!
