FREE Men of the Bible Coloring Page-Adam

Free Men of the Bible Coloring Page-AdamThe story of Adam and Eve is foundational to the Bible and the entire Gospel, though it was only recently that I became aware of the constant attack this key story is under, the push to relegate it to a nice children’s story or a fairy tale, but not “real” history. I grew up reading and hearing about all the stories in the Bible, and Biblical history was a key part of the history curriculum in the Christian school I attended. But recently, I’ve been watching through a series of specials by Creation Ministries International and am learning that it is absolutely critical that children understand that Genesis IS history, and that there are rational and logical reasons to see it as such. Because without Adam, Eve, and Genesis, there is no basis for understanding sin or our need of a Savior. Creation Ministries International has a library of articles and DVDs that help equip parents and children’s leaders to understand these issues. I’m looking forward to seeing the brand new film Is Genesis History? that is hosted by Del Tackett, creator of “The Truth Project” and features Dr. Robert Carter of Creation Ministries International and Dr. Todd C. Wood of the Core Academy of Science among others. I hope you enjoy this free coloring page of Adam and help your children understand the importance of this critical moment in history.

  1. I agree – we must know history – God’s history as well as our own history. Proverbs 26:11 says, As a dog returns to its vomit, so a fool returns to his folly. That’s the NIV. The Children’s International version says, A dog eats what it throws up. And a foolish person repeats his foolishness.

When we teach children about history, we help them learn to not make the same mistakes over and over. That’s a good lesson for adults, too! :)
