Karen Whiting

dscn6785Karen loves to let creativity splash across the pages of her writing. She’s an award- winning author of seventeen books for women, families, and children, with two more releasing in the coming year. Her writing experience includes more than 500 magazine articles, and over 100 puppet scripts.

Her God’s Girls inspirational craft books for tween girls have has had seventeen printings. She writes a time management column for Leading Hearts Magazine and writes a feature article for Molly Green Magazine. She has also written a family page for a Connecticut newspaper for several years.

Her writings have been published in numerous children’s publications including Focus on the Family’s Clubhouse Magazine, Pockets, and Live Wire. She wrote for Focus on the Family’s Parenting magazines until they ceased publication in 2009 and wrote for Charisma’s Children’s church programs for two years, until the sale of the division.

active boysKaren is the former host of Puppets On Parade educational television series. She lives on Maryland’s eastern shore and is a mother of five and a grandmother. Her awards include the Christian Retailing 2014 Best Award, children’s nonfiction (for The One Year My Princess Devotions) and the Military Writer’s Society of America Gold Medal, faith category. Her newest release is Nature Girl: a guide to caring for God’s creation. Her fist book for boys, The One Year Devotion for Active Boys, releases in October, 2014.
