Karen Whiting (www.karenwhiting.com) loves children and has five of her own plus lots of grandchildren. As a mathematician, she never expected to end up writing books, but it’s been a fun journey that has taken her to Malaysia, Russia, and China for speaking.
She is an international speaker, former television host of Puppets on Parade, and author of twenty-six books for women, children, and families. She has a heart to grow tomorrow’s wholesome families today. She has written more than eight hundred articles for sixty+ publications and loves to let creativity splash over the pages of what she writes. She writes for Leading Hearts, Crosswalk, and The Write Conversation blog.
Her awards include the Christian Retailing Best Award, children’s nonfiction (The One Year My Princess Devotions) and the Military Writer’s Society of America Gold Medal (Stories of Faith and Courage from the Home Front) and The Gold Scroll Best Nonfiction Book of the Year.
She’s writing the third in a series of family hands-on fun devotional books. The next one will be 52 Weekly Devotions to Help Families Pray. She loved doing devotions as a mom and know how that connects children to God with fun.
She enjoys adventure and rode a camel in the Canary Islands; white water rafted in Australia; rode horseback in Jamaica’s ocean; and enjoyed scuba diving off the coast of Bermuda.
