Let Freedom Ring, Let Our Grateful Hearts Sing
Happy Independence Day and weekend. My prayers are for all families to spend time this weekend enjoying our freedoms and in celebration. But as with any holiday, it may not be as joyous for some as for others.
As you continue your celebration remember those who may not be having the dream holiday:
Pray for those without family, home, or job.
Pray for those who are dealing with serious and terminal illness or those parents who have children who are ill.
Pray for those whose anger has divided their home, pray the anger can be eased.
Pray with thanksgiving for the blessings of health, family, home, and food that you enjoy.
Pray for God’s guiding hand over the world, the country, our freedom of religion.
And above all, pray for our service men and women who serve to protect those freedoms that we sometimes take for granted. Sing praises for all that is good, safe, and well with God’s world.
In Matthew 19:26 Jesus says “With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.” We trust these words to be true as we pray for God to be part of our Independence Day Celebration.
