Book Art Fun
I enjoy Pinterest where I find so much creativity. I like to explore photos related to books. This includes book Christmas trees made from stacking books to form a tree and adding lights and ornaments. Book art for kids shows many ways to engage a child with celebrating books, such as recycling a CD into a sparkly fish as a reminder of the book Rainbow Fish. Photos of bookmarks seem endless. Recently I looked up book centerpieces and found great ways to display books on a table. I used books as displays with my children’s birthday parties where I placed books related to the theme with related objects in the center of the table. I often had a bookmark for children to complete that held notes about the party. These gave them a bookmark with a memory of a fun day.
It gets my imagination going. I’ve made some book backdrops that reflect my book’s themes that I use when I speak and have a book table. I’ve even thought of how I’ve written enough books to create a table top Christmas tree. The publisher of My Princess Devotions released stickers that match the art in the book I could use to make some 3D figures as ornaments.
Engage a child’s creativity. View Pinterest boards together and then copy a favorite idea or make up your own. Have fun creating bookmarks, centerpieces, and art that celebrates a special book.
