I’d Rather Be Your Mommy Book Review
I don’t too often do book reviews, but when I read this book, I knew I needed to share about it. I’d Rather Be Your Mommy is a delightful e-book by Stacy Farrell. It’s a sweet, gentle reminder for your children and yourself that there is no place on earth you’d rather be, no job you’d rather be doing, no earthly treasure more valuable than the blessing of being their mommy.
The book begins by sharing some details your little one may not have thought about – like how you fed them all night, every night; how spit up (or worse!) happened often; how dirty diapers wouldn’t have been so bad if it had just all stayed in the diaper!
But life is messy, and so were they, but as you hold them in your arms and read this precious book to them, none of that matters. God chose you to be their mommy, and it’s a gift you thank Him for every single day.
Don’t let the fact that this sweet little book is an e-book discourage you from getting a copy for yourself. One year a very special little 3-year-old climbed into my lap to look at train pictures on the computer. So we looked at train picture after train picture, after train picture… I had no idea you could find so many different pictures of trains! But he was happy. And because he was contented to sit in my lap, with my arms wrapped around him, and spend time with his aunt, I was happy too. I think your little ones will enjoy the chance to climb into Mommy’s lap and listen to a story that is all about them.
Don’t you?
