FREE Men of the Bible Coloring Page-Noah
This week’s free coloring page is about Noah, who obeyed God even when his friends thought he was crazy! Has anyone ever thought you were crazy for believing in God’s Word? Chances are they have, and chances are greater still that they will think that of your children. The world is changing quickly, and Bible stories are being considered only “stories” by many. It’s vital that children learn not only the truth of the Bible but that the Bible’s account of history is also true and defensible. How does the account of Noah’s flood stand up to scientific scrutiny? How does evidence support the historical record found in the Bible? How can we know we aren’t following cleverly invented tales or that those who copied the Bible got it right? These are important questions for all of us, and it is critically important that children learn from a young age that the Bible stories aren’t simply “stories,” but describe real people who lived and died in a real historical context.

One way you can help children, no matter how young, to learn and understand this is to use apologetics materials regularly in your family Bible study time. There are numerous resources available, for almost any age. From Lee Strobel’s A Case … for Kids series to the resources found at Creation.com, materials are available as never before, and I believe the need for them is possibly greater than ever before. I also recommend the Unbreakable Faith course from Pilgrim’s Rock (over one third of which is available free online) and the incredible apologetics classes on SchoolhouseTeachers.com, including the popular Dinosaurs and the Bible class.
Whatever tools you use, I encourage you to start today. A child’s faith is challenged constantly, even in unexpected places like the library book I recently found. It was teaching children what foods are good for you but also included a reference to prehistoric times that did not follow the Bible’s view of history. Help kids understand the facts behind the Bible stories they read so they are prepared to face these challenges head on.
