A Preschool Devotion Routine
Preschoolers love to pretend, AND they love to be just like their older siblings. Back-to-school time is an opportunity to combine those loves into a preschool devotion activity.
When the older sibs are packing their backpacks with books to return to school, help your preschooler choose a few favorite picture books. Be sure to include a couple of Bible story books in the group.
Don’t forget the “lunch”! Pack a morning meal – finger food cereal, a tiny container of applesauce, and some cold milk in a tiny thermos would fit the bill. Put those things in the backpack as well.
Take the backpack along when walking sis to school or to the bus stop. When you get back home, you have the perfect opportunity for a preschool devotion time:
- carefully chosen Bible storybooks
- a snack/meal
- Mom’s undivided attention
Since preschoolers love routine as well, this is sure to become a natural addition to your day.
What would you add to the backpack?
Blessings,
Carol
