The story of Deborah in Judges 4-5 is short, but it shares a lot about both her and the people she led. She was not only a judge and leader of Israel, she was a prophetess as well. In a time when many of the man of the land retreated from their enemy, she obeyed God, did His will, and led the men who remained faithful to Him. It is encouraging to remember that God will use anyone who is willing to follow Him and seek His face.
