Seven Ways to Help Christian Authors
We are so thankful for our faithful readers here at Christian Children’s Authors! Often people ask how they can help authors. Here are seven ways to lend a hand on our writing journey.
- Pray – Pray for our focus and wisdom as we strive to be “clear windows” so that others can see Jesus through our words. Pray for our personal lives and health, as well as the same for our families. Pray for God’s protection over every area of our lives.
- Spread the word – When you come across a book that you love or when you connect with the words of a certain author, be sure to tell your family and friends.
- Make a trade – Gather up some Christian children’s books that you love and trade with another family. Everyone gets to enjoy more books and “meet” new authors in the meantime.
- Make a suggestion – Be sure to tell local bookstores and libraries about the books that are great matches for your kids. Suggest that they stock the titles for others to purchase.
- Buy a book – Of course, it always helps when you buy a book. It might be a book for yourself, a family member, or for someone as a gift. Books are great gifts for birthdays, Christmas, and showers.
- Write a review – Reviews (such as those on Amazon) are written by people like you. AND they really help when someone is considering buying one of our books. Reviews also help as we contact publishers for future book contracts.
- Attend events – If an author is having an event in your area, be sure to attend. Invite your friends, too. You will learn a little more about the author, and probably discover even more books that your kids will love.
Thank you for all the ways that you support Christian Children’s Authors!
