I love how Matthew’s friends converge on his house after Jesus calls him to follow Him. In Matthew 9, it says, While Jesus was having dinner at Matthew’s house, many tax collectors and sinners came and ate with him and his disciples.” (Matthew 9:10 NIV) Clearly, Matthew had something special to share! It also hits me how comfortable Matthew’s friends felt around Jesus, that they would come and eat together. How welcomed they must have felt by Jesus!
