We Will Tell the Next Generation
I am blessed to be a children’s author. There are many talents I do not have, but God has given me the gift of writing, and so I am doing my best to use it for His purpose. What I love about writing for the Christian children’s market is that I am able to share the love of Jesus and the message of salvation with the next generation. Today’s children are our future. If we can help them build a foundation of faith, then there is hope for the years ahead.
Our country was founded on Judeo-Christian beliefs. “One Nation Under God” and “In God We Trust” are national mottos that are now under attack. Our secular society prefers to leave God on the sidelines, or out of the picture completely. Christian parents, teachers, pastors, and authors are on the front lines, defending our faith and telling the next generation the praiseworthy deeds of the Lord.
I have not left the comforts of my home like many missionaries are willing to do. I have not made the sacrifices that missionary families make for the sake of Christ. But I am thrilled that God has allowed my books to be distributed world-wide as they are translated into many different languages. My books are on the mission field, and only God can make that happen.
Christian children’s books are not a substitute for the Bible, but rather a resource for parents and teachers to help children understand the truths of Scripture and apply them to their lives. Books can teach children about God’s greatness, love, and character. They can help children see God in the amazing things he has created. They can teach children how to pray. And they can explain the message of salvation with words a child can understand.
To those who follow this blog, thank you! Thank you for reading our books and sharing them with the children in your lives. You are the bridge between our books and the little ones we want to reach. You can help us tell the next generation the praiseworthy deeds of the Lord.
