God’s Bright and Beautiful Colors
We often ask kids, “What’s your favorite color?” But adults have favorite colors too. I like the color yellow: the yellow sun, yellow daffodils, and yellow lemons. I also like blue: blue sky, blue hydrangeas, and the vast ocean with various shades of blue and turquoise. I’m glad God thought of colors! With His divine creativity and artistry, He painted the world and everything in it with splashes of beautiful colors. Children begin recognizing colors at an early age. Before numbers and letters, colors are one of the first concepts that children can understand and enjoy. This is the idea behind God’s Bright and Beautiful Colors, the latest title in Our Daily Bread for Little Hearts board book series.
Beautifully illustrated by Luke Flowers, little ones will enjoy the colorful spreads as they look for something specific on each page. For example, on the page that features the color orange, the last line in the rhyming text asks, “Where are the duck’s orange feet?”
As this fun board book teaches and reinforces the concept of colors to developing and inquisitive young minds, it also honors the Artist. From yellow bananas to tan wheat that stands tall and proud, all of nature displays the handiwork of our Creator.
Here’s to finding bright and beautiful colors, wherever you are.
