12 Days of Christmas Books: Featuring A Savior is Born by Patti Rokus
Have you ever pocketed a few rocks when walking down the street? Do you ever hear pebbles clanking in the washing machine because your little ones see rocks as treasures? Me too! This sweet nativity book is both a coffee-table art book, and a kids’ DIY craft book, but most importantly, a book to inspire connection to our Savior through the very things He made–rocks! Keep reading for a chance to win a free copy in the 12 Days of Christmas Books Giveaway.
“A Savior is Born-Rocks Tell the Story of Christmas” is a brand new Children’s nativity book that is creating quite a stir. Children everywhere are recreating the scenes in the book with their own rocks, which was my hope from the beginning. I even offer free DIY field guides on my website so the kids will know what shapes to look for. But I’m finding it’s the parents who need the guides, not the kids, as the children just know what to do once they see the examples in the book.
One Amazon customer put it this way, “I find it hard to believe that something so primitive can bring one to tears. Patti’s work is truly heaven sent. From the moment I laid eyes on her prints (pages), I was mesmerized, let alone the messages they convey! I cannot wait to share these moments, reading, rock combing & creating, with my grandchildren, nieces, and nephews and look forward to an art that will be carried forward throughout our many generations.”
Come to my website to get your Free DIY guides, instructional videos and even a song I wrote to give voice to those sweet humble rocks that want to testify of their Savior as much as we want to! Jesus said, “I tell you that, if these should hold their peace, the stones would immediately cry out,” Luke 19:40.
This is video shows the rocks from the book coming together to make pictures, and includes a new nativity song I wrote and sang to give the rocks a voice! The song and accompaniment tracks are available for free so your family can sing it!

Karen, you get the vision! Yes, the rocks do cry out! Who would have thought? And now kids everywhere are giving them voice as they tell the stories of Jesus with rocks. I hope I can collect their pictures and publish them all into books that inspire everyone to see and feel the love of God for each one of us! much love, Patti (Author/artist)
