FREE Bible Verse Activities for Kids-Colossians 3:2 and Luke 6:31
Training our minds and hearts to look to God and not dwell on the moment in front of us is not easy to do. As adults, we struggle with it regularly. But for kids, it can be even harder. Nearly everything in their world happens in the minute, so it makes each thing much larger and more important than it would be to an adult.
The verses in this month’s Free Bible Verse Memorization Activity Pack for Kids help kids remember to look beyond the moment. Colossians 3:2 reminds us to, “Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth.” It encourages children (and us) that we should care more about doing what God wants us to do and not what friends, other people, or society tells us to do.
Luke 6:31 tells us, “And as ye would that men should do to you, do ye also to them likewise.” If we can help the children in our lives to form the habits of thinking about God and what He wants and then treating others the way they themselves want to be treated, it will yield countless blessings in their lives and the lives of others.
These fun puzzles and activities are a great way to help young children commit these verses to heart. Both verses are from the King James Version of the Bible. Download your copy today, and don’t forget to sign up to receive lots of freebies, tips, and encouragement delivered straight to your inbox!
