Free Cut and Paste Bible Verse Fun: Verses About Thankfulness
One of the fastest ways to smother thankfulness in our lives is with worry. When we worry, we lose ourselves in the “what ifs” and “mights” and forget all that is. Instead of worry, we are called to pray with thanksgiving, sharing our needs with God, who is our loving Heavenly Father. We need to constantly practice taking our eyes off of our worries and putting our focus on God, thanking Him for who He is and all of the ways He has blessed us. We need to help the kids in our lives develop this habit, too. The fun activities in this unit are here to help you do that.
Philippians 4:6 tells us to, “Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.” He wants to hear from us. Make sure kids understand that God will never, ever get tired hearing from them. They aren’t interrupting Him or bothering Him. He loves them and can’t wait to hear what’s on their hearts and minds.
Psalm 100:4 commands us to, “Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him, and bless his name.” We need to not only share our needs with God, we need to spend time thinking about Him, praising Him for all that He is and has done.
This fun FREE Cut & Paste Bible Verse Fun unit uses puzzles, pictures, handwriting practice, and more to help kids commit both of these verses to heart.
