Hope in 2021
I’ve heard it said before, “Ring out the old; ring in the new.” Yes, let’s say goodbye to 2020 and hello to 2021. Let us pray that we see the end of the Corina virus and the extreme political division in our country. Let us keep our eyes on our Lord who will give us peace through the storm.
In this new year, let’s try as best as we can to come together as a family, and remember there are many families that cannot gather together for various reasons. Let us take each day and give thanks to the Lord even for the small things in life. Our children are watching all we say a do. More is caught than is taught!
Ecclesiastes 3:1 announces, “There is a time for everything and a season for every activity under the heavens.” And “For there is a proper time and procedure for every delight, though a man’s trouble is heavy upon him.” Our God will take care of us and see us through the storm. Knowing this it should give us encouragement and comfort as we can rest in the knowledge that God will provide for all our needs.
With the beginning of the new year, start a resolution not to carry the worries of the past year with you, but instead rest in the knowledge that God loves you more than you can comprehend. We have the hope that only our loving God can provide. Hope that this new year will bring to us all we need and desire according to His perfect plan and purpose.
Remember, Jesus is the living cornerstone (1 Peter 2:4); he holds your children’s souls safe and secure. When the storms of life bring about destructive and devastating consequences, your precious children will stand strong in faith, hope, and love. They will be anchored body, mind, and soul in their Lord and Savior Jesus Christ because you have raised them to believe and because our God is always faithful and true!
