Bible Verse Word Puzzles, Vol. 1: Genesis-Numbers
I just wrapped up a series of Bible verse cut and paste resources for little ones last year. Since I’ve had some requests for some resources to help kids who are a little bit older memorize Scripture, I thought I would make that the theme of this year (and probably part of next year).
My goal is to share four verses each month with two puzzles for each verse, such as a crossword puzzle, word scramble, code breaking puzzle, etc. We’ll go through all 66 books of the Bible and use the King James Version of Scripture.
Our first set of puzzles includes verses from Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, and Numbers.
“In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters. And God said, Let there be light: and there was light. And God saw the light, that it was good: and God divided the light from the darkness. And God called the light Day, and the darkness he called Night. And the evening and the morning were the first day.” Genesis 1:1-5
“And I will dwell among the children of Israel, and will be their God. And they shall know that I am the Lord their God, that brought them forth out of the land of Egypt, that I may dwell among them: I am the Lord their God.” Exodus 29:45-46
“And ye shall be holy unto me: for I the Lord am holy, and have severed you from other people, that ye should be mine.” Leviticus 20:26
“God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it? or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good?” Numbers 23:19
