Bible Verse Word Puzzles, Vol. 2: Deuteronomy-Ruth
This week, we have the second volume of puzzles designed to help older kids memorize Scripture and commit it to heart. We’ll share four verses each month, with handwriting practice and two puzzles, such as a crossword puzzle, word scramble, code breaking puzzle, etc. for each verse. We’ll work our way through all 66 books of the Bible and use the King James Version of Scripture.
Our second set of puzzles includes verses from Deuteronomy, Joshua, Judges, and Ruth.
“Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God is one Lord: And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy might. And these words, which I command thee this day, shall be in thine heart: And thou shalt teach them diligently unto thy children, and shalt talk of them when thou sittest in thine house, and when thou walkest by the way, and when thou liest down, and when thou risest up. And thou shalt bind them for a sign upon thine hand, and they shall be as frontlets between thine eyes. And thou shalt write them upon the posts of thy house, and on thy gates.” Deuteronomy 6:4-9
“This book of the law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then thou shalt have good success. Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the Lord thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest.” Joshua 1:8-9
“In those days there was no king in Israel: every man did that which was right in his own eyes.” Judges 21:25
“And Ruth said, ‘Intreat me not to leave thee, or to return from following after thee: for whither thou goest, I will go; and where thou lodgest, I will lodge: thy people shall be my people, and thy God my God . . .’” Ruth 1:16
