Bible Verse Word Puzzles, Vol. 3: 1 Samuel-2 Kings
I can hardly believe we’re up to 12 books of the Bible this week! We’re almost one-fifth of the way through helping kids memorize key verses from each book of the Bible with fun puzzles. These puzzles are designed to help older kids memorize Scripture and commit it to heart. There is handwriting practice for each verse plus fun puzzles such as word scrambles, code breaking puzzles, math puzzles, crosswords, etc. for each verse. Each verse is from the King James Version of Scripture.
Our third set of puzzles includes verses from 1 and 2 Samuel and 1 and 2 Kings.
“But the Lord said unto Samuel, ‘Look not on his countenance, or on the height of his stature; because I have refused him: for the Lord seeth not as man seeth; for man looketh on the outward appearance, but the Lord looketh on the heart.’” 1 Samuel 16:7
“‘And thine house and thy kingdom shall be established for ever before thee: thy throne shall be established for ever.’ According to all these words, and according to all this vision, so did Nathan speak unto David.” 2 Samuel 7:16-17
“And Elijah came unto all the people, and said, ‘How long halt ye between two opinions? if the Lord be God, follow him: but if Baal, then follow him.’ And the people answered him not a word.” 1 Kings 18:21
“And when the servant of the man of God was risen early, and gone forth, behold, an host compassed the city both with horses and chariots. And his servant said unto him, ‘Alas, my master! how shall we do?’ And he answered, ‘Fear not: for they that be with us are more than they that be with them.’” 2 Kings 6:15-16
