Bible Verse Word Puzzles, Vol. 5: Esther-Proverbs
Can you believe it’s already May? The year is flying by, and so is our series of Bible verse memorization activities! This month, our four Bible passages take kids through the books of Esther, Job, Psalms, and Proverbs which contain some of the most-loved chapters in the Bible. Help them think about and memorize key Scripture verses as they complete fun puzzles. There is handwriting practice for each verse plus puzzles to solve such as crossword puzzles, decoding, word searches, etc. for each verse. All quotations are from the King James Version of Scripture.
Our fifth set of puzzles includes the following verses:
“For if thou altogether holdest thy peace at this time, then shall there enlargement and deliverance arise to the Jews from another place; but thou and thy father’s house shall be destroyed: and who knoweth whether thou art come to the kingdom for such a time as this?” Esther 4:14
“Then the Lord answered Job out of the whirlwind, and said, ‘. . . By what way is the light parted, which scattereth the east wind upon the earth? Who hath divided a watercourse for the overflowing of waters, or a way for the lightning of thunder; to cause it to rain on the earth, where no man is; on the wilderness, wherein there is no man; to satisfy the desolate and waste ground; and to cause the bud of the tender herb to spring forth?’” Job 38:1, 24-27
“Bless the Lord, O my soul: and all that is within me, bless his holy name. Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits: who forgiveth all thine iniquities; who healeth all thy diseases; who redeemeth thy life from destruction; who crowneth thee with lovingkindness and tender mercies;” Psalm 103:1-4
“Open thy mouth for the dumb in the cause of all such as are appointed to destruction. Open thy mouth, judge righteously, and plead the cause of the poor and needy.” Proverbs 31:8-9
