BIG BOOK OF HISTORY: A 15-foot fold-out time-line from Creation to Modern Computers
Lately I’ve been exploring world history timelines for kids. It’s been so much fun to show these to the grandkids, but it’s also been a great learning experience for myself as a Christian.
The first timeline I reviewed here on this website was The Annals of the World by James Ussher. Click here to read that post.
The Annals of the World is definitely for BIG kids. Like high schoolers. And adults.
The next timeline I reviewed here on this website was the ADAMS SYNCHRONOLOGICAL CHART (OR MAP OF HISTORY). Click here to read that post.
Adams’s timeline can be enjoyed by younger students, too, in middle grade or junior high. (It helps to have an adult nearby to answer questions.) And of course high schoolers and adults can benefit from it as well.
But today I wanted to let you know about a delightful, informational, and biblical timeline of world history and world events for the littles in our lives. The BIG BOOK OF HISTORY: A 15 FOOT FOLD-OUT TIME-LINE FROM CREATION TO MODERN COMPUTERS.
My seven-year-old grandson was fascinated by it! First he wanted to open it up. Naturally. Of course!
So we took it into our hall, which is fortunately, over 15-feet long. He unfolded the pages from Creation with Adam and Eve through Stonehenge through the Exodus through the Moors in Spain and Portugal and on up to modern age with computers and astronauts! He was so excited to see it! He got lost in the fun and fascination of it all!!!
And I was excited to see him reading it and absorbing it.
You see, this timeline is based on many of the dates found and researched and calculated by James Ussher in his amazing timeline. This BIG BOOK OF HISTORY timeline is put out by Master Books so we can be assured that it’s biblically sound. No evolution or millions of years mix-up here.
And the photos and images and facts are presented for young kids so they can get a solid start on using the Bible as the final authority in their lives, even when it comes to dates in history.
Because, after all, our faith is founded on fact! And we can trust the Bible to be true and accurate in its listing of facts and dates, even in ancient history.
