Easter Books
Easter egg hunts and Easter baskets are a fun way for kids to celebrate Easter every year. However, it is important for children to understand that Easter is more than bunnies and jellybeans. The Easter story is a joyful celebration of Jesus’ victory over sin and death, which can be hard for little ones to grasp. That’s why I (and many other Christian children’s authors) write Easter books–so children can learn how Jesus gave His life for us!

This is Easter is one of six books in Our Daily Bread for Little Hearts board book series. With vibrant illustrations and rhyming text, the story of Jesus is told with honest, yet simple truth. The book introduces little ones to the life of Jesus—from telling fishermen to “come and follow me!” to giving His life on the cross and rising on Easter morning. Perfect for toddlers, this little book shows how Easter is all about God’s amazing love.
This is Jesus who came to earth.
God sent Him from above.
He came to take away our sins,
and show us God’s great love.

In Little Duckling’s Easter Prayers, Duckling and his woodland friends explore the many blessings of spring through rhyming prayers based on inspirational Bible verses. The prayers and praises will inspire young children to appreciate and give thanks as they celebrate the new season and prepare for Easter.
Thank you, Lord, for pretty flowers blooming in the spring.
Thank you, Lord, for sunny days and tiny birds that sing.
The animals are waking up—the earth is fresh and new.
And everything that you have made is giving praise to you.
Song of Solomon 2:11-12

For elementary school-aged children, Our Daily Bread for Kids Easter Coloring and Activity Book is bursting with fun activities to engage children with stories of the life of Jesus and lessons we can learn from His ministry on earth. Each page is filled with inspiring imagery and key takeaways from Jesus’ life as depicted in Scripture. Coloring pages, word search, crossword puzzles, and mazes will entertain kids for hours while filling their hearts and minds with God’s Word.
I pray that as you celebrate Easter with the children God has placed in your life, you may lead them to a greater understand of the sacrificial love of Jesus. Along with jellybeans and chocolate bunnies, add some eternal value to those Easter baskets.

Thank you, Nancy!
These Easter books are delightfully refreshing in redirecting children to the true Easter message!
Thank you for commenting, Sharon. We need to keep pouring God’s truth into the next generation.
These are precious!
Thank you, Tama. I just want kids to know that Easter is so much more than what the world tries to make it.
Thank you for sharing these great books to help children learn the bigger picture of Easter.
You are welcome, Janice. Easter is the greatest celebration for people of faith, and we need to remember it’s eternal significance.
Hi ladies – I have just published my first children’s book, Merrigold’s Very Best Home. Merrigold is a little girl who thinks she needs a new home because her parents make her eat veggies she doesn’t like and take naps when she’d rather play. She visits several animal characters and soon realizes that their homes aren’t suited to her at all. A wise piglet finally tells her to go home to her own house and when she does she realizes she already has the very best home and the very best parents in all the world.
Meant to help parents and grandparents cultivate contentment in the children they love, this story is a ‘the grass is not always greener’ or should I say, ‘the house is not always better’ story with an ending reminiscent of the story of the prodigal son. Parents and grandparents will have an opportunity to talk about being grateful, unconditional love and forgiveness in terms the child can understand.
