February 29th is Leap Day! It only comes once every 4 years! We need it because the earth rotates a little more than 365 days a year, by about 6 hours long. That means one extra day of rotation every four years. Julius Caesar was the first leader to add leap day to the calendar. Someone born on leap day is called a leaping.

Leap for joy and read about a crippled man who did leap once he was healed in Acts 3:4-8. He went from begging to praising!

 Peter and John looked at him intently, and Peter said, “Look at us!” The lame man looked at them eagerly, expecting some money. But Peter said, “I don’t have any silver or gold for you. But I’ll give you what I have. In the name of Jesus Christ the Nazarene, get up and walk!” Then Peter took the lame man by the right hand and helped him up. And as he did, the man’s feet and ankles were instantly healed and strengthened. He jumped up, stood on his feet, and began to walk! Then, walking, leaping, and praising God, he went into the Temple with them.

Imagine who joyful it was to be able to walk, jump. and run again! Play jumping games:

• Jump rope. That helps your heart, coordination, balance, and bone density. Jumping for joy as you praise God helps your soul!
• Try a broad jump to see how far you can jump. It improves you flexibility and strength plus add to your muscle mass. It’s like a big leap. Take a leap of faith today. That means to believe without evidence. Let go of a worry and trust God will guide you through your problem.
• Hop scotch is a fun game that helps you control your body and move it where you want it to go. It improves balance
