Amy M. O’Quinn is the author of Marie Curie for Kids and Nikola Tesla for Kids, and both books are part of the award-winning Chicago Review Press ‘For Kids’ series. Her upcoming book, Becoming Beatrix: The Life of Beatrix Potter and the World of Peter Rabbit (also published by CRP), will be released on March 1, 2022.
In addition to writing books, Amy has published many articles and reviews in regional, educational, and children’s magazines and online. She is also an educational copywriter and product/content developer for a couple of organizations and companies.
Additionally, Amy is a pastor’s wife, educator, and mom to six—3 girls and 3 boys, ages 30 (twins) down to 15. She is also a sunset-watching, coffee-drinking, literature-loving, rural-living Southern gal, and a self-proclaimed Anglophile who enjoys traveling (especially to the UK)—even though she loves being at home on the family farm in south Georgia best of all. Most importantly, however, she loves her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ with all her heart. She enjoys digging into the Scriptures through both personal and group studies, and over the years, she has enjoyed writing for several inspirational and Christian markets.
Amy was blessed to be raised in a Christian home by loving parents. And although she is a preacher’s wife, she was also a preacher’s kid—so she knows a thing or two about raising preacher’s kids. 😊 As a result, most of her writing has to be done around the fringes of family life, and she wouldn’t have it any other way. The days are long, but the years are short.
