Like so many Christian authors, I never imagined Father God using me through the written word. But His desire for me to do just that was so clear that my only response was, “Yes, Father!” Looking back, I can see how He was preparing me for this journey by giving me such a deep love for the Bible and for children.

My passion is for children to come to know Father God and Jesus Christ through Bible-based books written just for them – books that lead them to the Bible. When children’s books teach biblical truth in a way that is fun and engaging, they have the potential to change the lives of children for eternity.

I have decades of experience working with and teaching children. For eleven years, I was the director of childcare for a nonprofit that served under-resourced families. In this volunteer position, my responsibilities included caring for and interacting with children between the ages of 4 and 12. I prepared and taught Sunday School-type lessons, reaching many children who would not otherwise be exposed to the Bible. I also served in children’s ministry at my church as both small- and large-group teacher. For large-group lessons, I presented a curriculum-based lesson to about 150 children per service.

I live in beautiful Colorado and absolutely love spending time in the mountains! My husband Dave and I have three children, all grown up now with families of their own. They have blessed us with five grandsons and one granddaughter. Every day is an adventure with this crazy family! They love the mountains too and have taken to four-wheeling! In 2021, we added to the craziness by adopting a cattle dog named Twixy, which means unique. Twixy was given her name at the rescue, and it suits her!

Hey Warrior Kids! Grab Your Slingshot!

Just like David, you will be the hero!

Win the Battle with the Giant of Fear!

Hey Warrior Kids! Grab Your Slingshot! begins with the retelling of the story of David and Goliath (1 Samuel, chapter 17, starting with verse 12). Drawing on this Biblical account, kids will learn how to stand up to fear, just like David, by replacing fearful thoughts and words with Bible verses about overcoming fear. In this fun teaching their Slingshot is the Word of the God – the Bible, and their Smooth Stones are Scriptures they can shoot at the Giant of Fear!

Warrior Kid’s Prayer – A prayer to remind children that God is always with them and is bigger and stronger than anything scary.

It’s a Super-Bad Terrible Day!

Sometimes everything goes my way,
And I’m happy. It’s a great day!
But there are days that are rough.
On those days, I’ve had enough!
Being a kid is as hard as can be.
But I’m pretty tough, just wait and you’ll see!

Follow along with a kid who is having the worst day ever from the time his feet hit the floor in the morning until it’s time to go back to bed that night. A fun story written in rhyme that kids relate to easily. Along the way they will learn how to handle some of the difficult and uncomfortable situations many kids experience.

It’s a Super-Bad Terrible Day! makes an excellent classroom resource and is a must-have book because bad days happen and sometimes a kid needs a little help knowing what to do about it.
