Giveaway Time!
It’s February. The children are back at school, regular routines have begun and the excitement and whoosh of Christmas has almost faded away. So, I thought it would be a good time to do a giveaway and, because I write for a variety of age groups, I’ve decided to give away three very different books!
Can God See Me? is a fun picture book exploring and reinforcing the amazing scope of God’s love and care for us – no matter where we are or what we do! I share some of the story behind this book in another blog post
Pray this way! is the newest release in my Dig-In Discipleship Bible study series and takes tweens on a discovery of the Lord’s Prayer (Matthew 6:7-13). (To think through the issue behind encouraging kids develop regular Bible reading habits you might enjoy this post.)
The Back Leg of A Goat. is the first novel in my Tania Abbey series for 7-10 year olds. There are now three titles available in the series. This one tackles issues of friendship, faith and responding to poverty. Great as a read alone, or read-to-me book.
To enter today’s Giveaway, all you have to do to is to leave a comment below with the following information:

- Tell us one thing you are looking forward to this year!
The winners will be chosen next Thursday!
(This giveaway is open to international entries!)
I want to win Pray This Way… Looked for it on Amazon and could not find it. As a fellow author, I am really looking forward to the books I am planning on publishing this year.
Hi Corine,
Thanks for your entry!
All the best with your publishing endeavors this year.
I’d love to win “Can God see me”. I help run a playgroup at church that had 30 kids come last week and 25 this week, with only a handful from church. I’m looking forward to seeing some of our ‘playgroup only’ families start coming to church this year, or, better yet, seeing parents or kids becoming Christians too. 🙂
Thanks for entering the giveaway, Sarah. Your playgroup sounds like an excellent opportunity for families to hear about Jesus!
Pray This Way would e a great resource for our family.
Hi Tam, thanks for entering the Giveaway!
The book I would like to win is “Pray this way”…. I am so excite and looking forward to moving forward in my calling as a Ministry this year.
Hi Charlene,
Thanks for entering the giveaway! All the best for the year ahead.
I would like to win ‘Can God see me?’. I am looking forward this year to introducing Jesus to more kids and their mums in a playgroup I help run in Chiba, Japan, and this book would be a great help!
Hi Karen,
Thanks for your entry in the giveaway!
All the best for your playgroup in Japan too.
I’d love to win the ‘Can God see me?’ book – my five year old is constantly asking these kind of questions!! I am working in ministry in Japan and I am looking forward to starting a kids club for kindergarten and primary school kids this year!
Hi Sarah,
thanks for entering the giveaway – I know what you mean about 5 year olds asking questions and that’s exactly why I wrote this book. 🙂
Great idea, Penny! Thanks for this fun post.
Thanks Linda!
Ooo… a new Dig in Discipleship book. We’d love to win that. This year we’re looking forward to having a finished deck on our house.
Hi Lisa,
thanks for entering the giveaway!
A new deck sounds lovely.
The Back Leg of A Goat sounds wonderful. As for what I am looking forward to, I would have to say it is getting my surgery over so I can recover and get back to exercising.
Good luck with the giveaway.
HI Cheryl,
Thanks for your entry into the giveaway. I hope your surgery goes well and the recovery process healing in more ways than one.
I’d love to win “Pray This Way” because we have used the Dig in Discipleship series and found it amazingly insightful, and because we already own the other two books
Hi Debra,
Thanks for entering the giveaway and the ongoing, enthusiastic support you have for the Dig-In series!
I would like the Back Leg of a Goat. The title is awesome! As always, I am looking forward to finding an agent, writing a great book and getting it published.
Hi Rita,
Thanks for entering the Giveaway!
All the best with your writing/publishing this year.
I would like to win The Back Leg of a Goat. I am looking forward to going to Whale Bay with our local CHEW homeschooling group.
Hi Kaeo,
Thanks for your entry!
Have a great trip to Whale Bay – sounds like fun.
Hi Penny,
Thanks for the chance to win one of your wonderful books. I would love, Pray This Way! The reason is that my youngest struggles understanding his bible and unfortunately has now lost interest. I believe that prayer is the key that unlocks so much of what God has for us and I’m hoping your book may help him. Perhaps if he is encouraged to pray more God can help him to understand the Word better and rekindle his interest.
We do have (and have enjoyed) your other books but the above is the reason for my choice.
Best of success with your writing this year!,
Kayleen
Hi Kayleen,
Thanks for your entry into the giveaway. I hope this year brings a new sense of excitement for your son regarding reading and exploring God’s word!
I would love to win pray this way please. I teach Sunday School at our local church and I’m really looking forward to helping these children to develop their knowledge of God’s Word and developing hearts of worship and prayer. This book would be a fabulous resource.
Hi Sally-Rose,
Thanks for your entry.
All the best for your Sunday School groups at church – how exciting to be involved in encouraging faith in children.
I’d love to win a copy of “Pray this way.” My Kids Ministry area at church is Upper Primary kids AND I run an SU camp every summer for the same age group. This year we used your Psalm 23 Dig-in book for our morning devotionals, so I’d love to try another one of your books. I am looking forward to preparing and planning yet another wonderful camp – its the most fun I have all year.
Hi Kristin,
Thanks for your entry. Glad to hear the Pastures, Paths and Parties worked well with your group.
Hope this year’s camp is just as fruitful!
