Don’t we all wonder sometimes about the angels we encounter in God’s Word?
Angels in the Bible Storybook provides some answers and insight in sixteen Old Testament and sixteen New Testament stories told with charm and gentle humor.
Children (and adult readers too!) will be fascinated by the ways God’s powerful, behind-the-scenes helpers interacted with people both small and great in events recorded for us throughout the Bible.
Are they not all ministering spirits sent out to serve for the sake of those who are to inherit salvation? –Hebrews 1:14 ESV
Do angels have wings? Tradition says yes; the Bible doesn’t say. But the wings on the glorious angels in Alida Massari’s dramatic, expressive illustrations don’t bother me at all—they simply emphasize the distinction and power of these dedicated servants of God. No fluffy, chubby, passive, wimpy angels here!
The stories in the book vary in length, with just the right proportion of illustration for each. Children will enjoy seeing the stories unfold page by page.
Interesting “All About Angels” facts appear throughout the book, identified by a symbol of angel wings.
All in all, a wonderful addition to any child’s home or classroom library!
