Bold and Blessed
Trinitee Stokes is a 12-year-old singer and actress from the Disney channel. She is best known for her role as Judy Cooper on the kids’ show K. C. Undercover, but also can be seen in several television commercials. Trinitee began acting when she was only 3. She caught the attention of local agents, and when she was a few years older, her parents stepped out in faith and moved to California where she would have more opportunities to develop and use her talent. If her name isn’t enough to let you know she is a Christian, she will be quick to tell you she loves Jesus. She shares her story in a new book by Zonderkidz titled Bold and Blessed–How to Stay True to Yourself and Stand Out from the Crowd. But this book isn’t just about her. In every chapter in a section titled: “So Let’s Talk About You,” Trinitee encourages and challenges readers to define their passions, set goals, and pursue their dreams. She is bold with her faith and reminds her readers that God created each of them for a specific purpose. She encourage others to let their light shine for Jesus and to use their voice for good.
Fun chapter titles, interesting side bars, and questions from fans, make this book a delightful read for girls ages 10 and up. The book includes some family photos of Trinitee and her parents, as well as journaling pages for the reader. I highly recommend mothers and daughters reading this book together as there are many opportunities for meaningful discussions about faith, fashion, and future goals.
I’d love to give this book 5 smiles because I believe it’s a book that is very much needed in today’s society where our young people are more hesitant to be bold with their faith. However, as the ghost writer for this book (along with my daughter) I am biased. So I guess you’ll have to read it for yourself and decide if it’s worthy of a 5 smile rating.
Here’s to being Bold and Blessed!
