Free Cut and Paste Bible Verse Fun: Verses About Patience
Children aren’t usually known for their patience. OK, neither am I, but I digress. Nevertheless, patience is an important virtue that we all need to foster and grow in our lives.
We read in Exodus 14:13-14, “And Moses said unto the people, “Fear ye not, stand still, and see the salvation of the Lord, which he will shew to you to day: for the Egyptians whom ye have seen to day, ye shall see them again no more for ever. The Lord shall fight for you, and ye shall hold your peace.”
There is a time to act, but there are often (what may seem like too often) times to stand still and wait for God.
We also have to practice being slow to get angry. Proverbs 16:32 says, “He that is slow to anger is better than the mighty; and he that ruleth his spirit than he that taketh a city.” Isn’t it sobering to think that it takes more strength to rule our own spirits than to conquer a city?
