Book Review: Chloe The Unfeathered Parrot by Regan W.H. Macaulay
A sweet story about a parrot who simply needs to “find her flock” is what you’ll discover in Chloe the Unfeathered Parrot by Regan W.H. Macaulay.
Chloe lives with a man who has a busy schedule and not a ton of time to care for her. Once Chloe is brought to the Parrot Sanctuary, she is given the attention she needs and she even learns new things until she is ready to find a new home.
Macaulay continues sharing her love of animals in her latest children’ picture book. Young readers will be delighted to watch Chloe’s story unfold. The vibrant and colorful artwork by Wei Lu, who has partnered with Macaulay on Dog Band and Mixter Twizzle’s Breakfast, is stunning in this book. At the end of the story, readers will find helpful educational resources with links. What I enjoyed most about this story is its message of love and acceptance coupled with helpful resources for young readers to learn more.
If you love birds, animal rescue stories, or any story that touches the heart, then Chloe the Unfeathered Parrot is the perfect choice.
