Two Christmas Books for Kids
I have written numerous Christmas books over the past few decades, and unfortunately, not all books stay in print forever. I currently have two titles that are still going strong and am grateful to the publishers for continuing to print these books.
M is For Manger was published by Tyndale Kids in 2015 and continues to be a holiday product. It is the only alphabet picture book that tells the Christmas story in chronological order. Written in rhyming text and paired with endearing illustrations, the story begins with the angel’s announcement to Mary and ends with a zillion stars shing in the sky.
The text includes Messianic prophecies to add depth and meaning to the Christmas story and continues until we meet Simion and Anna at the Temple. Each page features the alphabet letter, sweet illustrations, and a Bible verse to show where that part of the story is found in Scripture. Once during an interview, the host asked why we chose M is for Manger for the title. My answer was this: because that’s where we find Jesus.
This Is Christmas is part of Our Daily Bread for Kids Little Hearts board book series. This simple story with colorful illustrations engages toddlers and preschoolers to help them learn the true meaning of Christmas. Based on Mary and Joseph’s journey to Bethlehem, the pages lead children straight to Jesus—the best gift of all!
This book is just the right size for Christmas stockings or little hands.
Here’s to finding Jesus as we celebrate Christmas.
