NANCY I. SANDERS is a children’s author of over 100 books. Some are for little kids. Some are for big kids (like adults). Some won awards. Some are out-of-print. Many are with big publishers. Many aren’t. Some are bestsellers. Half of her books are for the general market. Half are for the Christian market.

PASSIONATE ABOUT THE WORD
Spending time in the presence of God, worshipping, and daily reading His Word forms the framework of Nancy’s days. Nancy believes that instilling a love for reading in young children is the stepping stone to fostering a lifelong love for feasting daily on God’s Word. This is a strong motivator in shaping her life as a children’s author with every book she writes, whether in the general or Christian market, supporting a strong biblical worldview.

Nancy and her husband Jeff live in Norco CA near their two sons and their wives, and grandchildren. They are active in their church, Calvary Chapel Chino Hills. Together they perform in the La Verne University Symphony Orchestra. Jeff plays the double bass and Nancy is a percussionist. Hiking, reading, music, and nature are among their favorite hobbies.

HOW-TO BOOKS FOR WRITERS
Known as an inspirational and motivational mentor by friends and fellow writers, Nancy truly believes that everyone can follow their dreams to be a successful children’s writer. In her self-published book, Yes! You Can Learn How to Write Children’s Books, Get Them Published, and Build a Successful Writing Career, Nancy teaches writers how to manage their time and focus their energies so that they are writing each day with purpose in order to get published, earn an income, and satisfy their personal fulfillment as a writer. Her second self-published how-to book for children’s writers is Yes! You Can Learn How to Write Beginning Readers and Chapter Books. Based on her experience writing numerous reproducible beginning readers for teachers (Scholastic Teaching Resources) as well as chapter book series, she offers solid strategies for every children’s writer to improve their writing skills.
