Tammy Kennington is an award-winning writer, speaker, and dually certified life and mental health coach who specializes in inner healing prayer. Familiar with the impact of trauma and parenting in the hard places, she loves sharing the love of Christ with the young and young at heart.
Tammy has authored five children’s nonfiction books for publishers in the education industry, preschool curriculum for the Association of Christian Schools International, and hundreds of articles for such publications as IBelieve, Crosswalk, and the Upper Room. Her first Christian children’s picture book, This is the Baby: The Story of the First Christmas, is slated for release with the Daily Grace Company in the fall of 2027.
Tammy’s passion for writing and words influenced her decision to pursue a career in education. She holds a master’s in teaching, a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education with an endorsement in Early Childhood Education, a certificate in the Foundations of Trauma, and recognition as a Certified Academic Language Therapist. Tammy also earned a certificate of Mental Health Coaching from the Association of Christian Schools International and is a trained inner-healing prayer provider. She speaks at churches and conferences nationwide, including women’s groups, parenting forums, and conferences for educators. In addition, Tammy is co-director of the Family Christian Book Fest in Colorado Springs.
She and husband, David, have four amazing young-adult children and two grandbabies with one on the way. In her free time, Tammy enjoys indulging in a great book while sipping a warm mug of vanilla chai or kayaking along the shores of Lake Keowee.
