12 Days of Christmas Books: Featuring ‘Twas the Evening of Christmas by Glenys Nellist — 38 Comments

  1. I have known author Glenys Nellist personally for years. Her love and faith for spreading God’s word is inspiring. I have many of her books and have given some to my great nieces and nephews. My great granddaughter has a almost complete collection of books also. Bless you Glenys for your God given talent.

  2. Thank you Glenys Nellist for creating a book that will be passed down to generations as it becomes part of our Christmas tradition! Instead of focusing on Santa, this story focuses on the real meaning of Christmas. I could imagine that beautiful night, as if I was there. The illustrations are gorgeous. I cried as I read this book, touched by the love it evoked. This book WILL become a Christmas classic!

  3. I love rhyming books and write in rhyme so this would probably serve me as a great mentor text as well as my 4 year old granddaughter who loves to rhyme words (I’m certain she’ll be an early reader!) She’ll be picking out the rhyming words all the way through…as well as hearing a great story!

  4. And the winner of ‘Twas the Evening of Christmas is…Laurie Page Salisbury. Congratulations Laurie, and thanks to everyone who entered. Stay tuned for a giveaway of Christmas Love Letters from God, coming soon!
