The Thanksgiving Miracle — 6 Comments

  1. What a wonderful post. The character quality of God as Redeemer is one to be grateful for in all of life—turning ashes into beauty. I love how this layer of truth is embedded in so many stories, and one we as teachers, parents, grandparents, and guardians can draw out as we read to our children. Thank you for bringing this to my attention again.

  2. Our pastor just preached on Joseph’s life and God’s providence and I was thinking about them as I was reading your blog, Gail. Great application! Go back and read the account in Genesis. There’s a man from Dothan (my pastor kept calling him the “Dothan man” whose only “job” was to point Joseph in the right direction to find his brothers. If he hadn’t done that, Joseph wouldn’t have been there at the exact moment that they came back and when the Midianites came through–etc etc. God is in control. Not us!

  3. Amen, Carol. I’m so glad He is in control and not me. When we look back at all that has transpired in our lives we will definitely see how God brought about good from the things we felt were tragedies and hardships. Thanks so much for your comments.
