The Tea Pot Series
Dawn Stephens is not only one of our CCA blog contributors, but she is also a talented author and illustrator. I had the privilege of doing some light editing on the stories in her Tea Pot Series and fell in love with these colorful characters.
Can tea pots and jars be characters? The short answer is yes. As one reader comments: “The four stories in The Potter Series will help readers learn important life lessons as they identify with the Pot characters. I never knew pots could be so adorable.”
As the Pots try to find their place and purpose in the Potter’s shop, themes of pride, envy, and feeling unworthy are woven though the stories. As the stories develop, the Pots learn that they were lovingly created by the Potter and their unique design helps them to serve others.
Dawn’s warm (and sometime humorous) illustrations enhance these charming stories about service and love. The simple yet profound messages offer a valuable teaching tool for parents, caregivers, and educators.
