The Theo App is a Bible-based app designed to enhance the bedtime routine for children through prayer, Bible stories, meditations, and affirmations. The Theo App can be customized for your child based on their age, and your family’s theological preference including Baptist, Catholic, Methodist, Lutheran, etc.

After spending some time on the Theo App I can tell you this is an app you need to check out. All of the content is very soothing and relaxing. The narrators speak in soft tones and there is calming instrumental music in the background. Now, this is designed for children, but it was effective on me. I became so relaxed in a short amount of time and I was trying to scrutinize the content for this blog post.

The Theo App was launched in 2025 by Familify Corp. which is a family-tech company dedicated to strengthening the emotional, spiritual, and relational foundation of today’s families. The Theo App has quickly gained a huge following of more than 2 million users.

The following quote is from a review of the Theo App on the Premier NextGen Site that addresses the issue of safety with more knowledge than I have.

“Is it safe?

The App Store and Google Play Store have really tight regulations when it comes to apps in the kids category and as a parent, it’s really important you pay attention to the age rating of every app you allow your kids to engage with. This has a rating of 4+ which means there’s no way your child can access the internet or chat with strangers or be exposed to ‘objectionable’ content. Theo is not targeted directly to children – it’s up to the adult to create the account and to use this app as a tool in their family life. This isn’t really the kind of app to download and hand to your child – it’s to use together. So yes, it’s safe.”

I would recommend this app to create a calm and peaceful bedtime for your children/grandchildren. You can listen to very limited content without purchasing the app, so purchasing it would be a better choice, particularly so you can customize what your children will be listening to. There are discounts available within the app if you don’t hurry to purchase.
